International News: A major accident happened in Bandar Abbas on Saturday which is located on the southern coastal of Iran. The tremendous explosion on Shahid Raji Port caused havoc in the area. So far 14 people have died in this accident and more than 750 people are said to be injured. The condition of many among the injured remains critical.

The explosion caused havoc, miles away

According to eyewitnesses, the explosion was so strong that the glass of the buildings around the port shattered. Vibration was felt from several kilometers away. Many warehouses and buildings of the port have suffered heavy losses. Rescue work is on a war footing to evacuate the people trapped in the debris.

Explosion from chemicals? Investigation continues

Government officials have indicated in the initial investigation that the explosion may have occurred from chemicals placed on the port. However, intensive investigation has been started to find out the real reason. The Ministry of Home Affairs has immediately constituted a high -level inquiry committee. Security agencies are also collecting samples from the spot so that the reason behind the blast can be clear.

Lock on port, big impact on business

Shahid Raji Port has been closed with immediate effect. Due to the stagnation of this port, Iran is feared to have a big impact on maritime trade. A large number of cargo vessels have been stopped away from the coastal region. Officials say that the situation may take several days to normalize.

Aerial surveillance and emergency alert

Aerial surveillance has been increased in monkey Abbas and surrounding areas since the explosion. The Ministry of Health has issued an emergency alert in the area. Emergency has been declared in hospitals and additional medical teams have been deployed.

President expresses mourning, order for strict action

The President of Iran expressed deep condolences to the incident, saying, "This is a very tragic incident. We are standing with the afflicted families." He has directed the investigating agencies to take strict action by identifying the culprits as soon as possible.

Appeal to citizens to be vigilant

The government has appealed to the people to avoid rumors and follow the administration guidelines. Also, in view of possible pollution in the air, citizens have been asked to stay in homes and exit only when needed.
